This is an exciting opportunity to join our Land Development team as an Engineering Manager. You'll provide leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to deliver some of our biggest projects, including greenfield and brownfield residential development, infrastructure, commercial, and industrial developments that shape the future of our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and people leadership to a team of civil engineers and designers across complex projects from concept design to construction completion.
- Review team performance to ensure efficient project delivery while contributing to preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, calculations, plans, on-site investigations, and technical development.
- Mentor and guide civil engineers and designers in a collaborative environment that fosters knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain existing client relationships, driving business development initiatives through leveraging your network and identifying opportunities to enhance our future project prospects.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies to enhance our digital intelligence capabilities.
- Work with the National Land Development Manager to implement the regional strategic business plan, including growth strategy, business development, marketing strategies, and budget targets.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- CPEng or similar relatable expertise and experience.
- 15+ years of New Zealand-based Land Development experience within complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive high engagement and performance.
- A proven track record in client relationship management and opportunity identification, ideally within the local and regional market.
- Strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to articulate a clear vision through planning and execution.
