Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner Intern (NP Intern) role presents an exceptional opportunity for a senior nurse looking to advance their clinical career. This new position has been created to further enhance the quality of clinical services and care provided to patients and whanau at Mercy Hospice. Throughout the intern year, you will receive in-house education, leadership development, and clinical supervision from experienced NPs and medical team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across both the community team and the inpatient unit, gaining advanced-level nursing experience
  • Receive in-house education and clinical supervision
  • Develop leadership skills and contribute to enhancing clinical services

Requirements:

  • Senior nurse with at least 3 years' experience in palliative care or similar
  • Academically prepared to move forward into your final practicum year in 2026
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical and professional leadership
