Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The Rural Health Unit seeks an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Professional Teaching Fellow on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will collaborate with directors to integrate a rural perspective into MBChB modules, develop and deliver rural curriculum content, and create educational resources for RRAS and rural high school students.
Additional responsibilities include engaging with professional organisations, liaising with regional stakeholders, assisting in administrative tasks, and serving on university committees to support a collaborative working environment.
This is a FTE, part time ( 20 hours per week ), fixed term role (Until December 2024) .
The salary range for this role is between $96,823 - $100,696 pro rata (Full time equivalent of 40 hours per week), based on skills and experience.

Qualifications He korero mou | About you We are looking for an individual with a rural background/lived experience and knowledge of rural health issues.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, professionalism, effective communication, and strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
Experience in rural general practice or rural hospital medicine is highly desirable.
Successful candidates will also satisfy the following essential requirements: Hold a MBChB Have experience in medical education Come from a rural background or have lived experience of dealing with rural health issues
