You'll play a vital part of a professional team who work together to provide our akonga with support in relation to their individualised learning programme.Job DescriptionTeacher AideFixed-Term (April – December 2025)13 hours per weekBased in TamateaWe are seeking a patient and kind Teacher Aide to support an akonga.
Ideal candidates will have experience and be comfortable working with akonga with additional needs.This position is during school term time only.
To be considered for this role you must have the right to reside or work in New Zealand.Ko wai matou | About UsTe Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 akonga (students) at any point of time.
We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners.Our akonga are at the centre of all we do.

You'll be someone who is supportive, well-organised, and flexible.
Knowing your way around a computer is beneficial.For this position, we offer a starting hourly rate range from $26.59 to $33.23.
