**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position**

As a Teacher Aide you'll work with an ākonga (student) in their home based in Hastings. You'll play a vital part of a professional team who work together to provide our ākonga with support in relation to their individualised learning programme.

The ākonga you will be supporting is an active and energetic induvidual with a good sense of humour. They have key interests in playing and watching sport and doing science experiments. They also love pets and listening to music. This ākonga has autism and ADHD and will require your full attention, experience with these learning needs would be beneficial.

This position is during school term time only. To be considered for this role you must have the right to reside or work in New Zealand.

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 ākonga (students) at any point of time. Your excellent communication and relationship management skills will see you foster strong relationships with our ākonga, their whānau and the Te Kura kaiako and the teams working with our ākonga on their individualised learning journey.

We are looking for someone who is keen to bring their energy to engage with our ākonga to support their learning needs.

You'll be someone who is supportive, well-organised, and flexible. Knowing your way around a computer is beneficial.
