About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available within the Child Development Service for an Occupational Therapist with an interest in working with tamariki/children and their whanau/community support.
The position is 32 hrs per week (0.8 FTE) and based at Palmerston North Hospital.
About the Team The Child Development Service is based at the Palmerston North Hospital however provides a region wide service.
It is a multi-disciplinary Allied Health service providing a range of assessment, intervention and support services to children with developmental and behavioural concerns and their whanau who reside within the MidCentral district.

To find out more about living and working in the MidCentral area, click here About you The successful applicant will provide a high quality occupational therapy through assessment, consultation and therapy services to children alongside their families/support network who are referred through the Child Development Service of MidCentral.
The tamariki may be referred due to development delay, reduced mobility and cognitive ability.
This role would suit an experienced practitioner who has a clear understanding of what type of services are needed by the children and whanau.
Experience in working with a range of community providers and the education sector would be an advantage.
