Our community services provide supplementary support alongside our clinical teams to support holistic whanau wellness, provide helpful services and supporting stronger community bonds.We're seeking a dynamic Community Services Coordinator to join our team in Hawkes Bay on a part time (35 hours per week) permanent basis.Our Community Services Coordinators ensure our community-based initiatives such as our parenting groups and programmes run smoothly, and our volunteers are well supported.
There is a strong focus on collaborating with local organisations and groups to ensure we can deliver to the needs of our priority communities - you will build connections to develop or support initiatives that promote healthy confident whanau and pepi.To support these initiatives, you might have meetings with stakeholders, attend network meetings, huis, run groups, plan events and fundraising initiatives, and work alongside other Plunket Teams.
You will also manage the recruitment of volunteers and ensure our volunteers are prepared, informed and feel connected to our Kaupapa.This role requires a degree of flexibility, working independently and as part of a wider team.
Working across Hawkes Bay and with volunteers, alongside the occasional trip outside the region, means that the day to day needs will change, but the mahi also allows flexibility to work from home from time to time.The pay rate for this role is $27.80 per hour.To thrive in this role, you will be confident in engaging with local groups and be able to effectively build relationships with whanau.
You will have had prior experience working in a role where you built positive relationships and were able to diagnose needs before working towards a solution.This could mean that you are a parent who has a deep understanding of the needs of whanau in your community and you're looking to get into a role that allows you to deliver on this.
