This position is also the key point of contact for operations for the Female Pathways programme.This is a fantastic opportunity to come on board and join a collaborative team who have a vision to create memorable experiences through rugby.JOB TITLEFemale Pathways Lead and Pathways Strength & Conditioning CoachPURPOSEThis position is responsible for leading athletic preparation of Pathways athletes in Taranaki including Academy athletes and FPC athletes.
This position is also the key point of contact for the Female Pathways programme.SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead the athletic preparations of Pathways athletesLead the athletic preparations of FPC athletesShare the management of gym windows with other Strength & Conditioning resourcesCarry out regular fitness, body composition and strength assessments in line with NZR protocolsLiaise with TRFU medical and physiotherapy team regarding athlete injuries and their rehab and prehab programmesAttend field sessions as requiredFacilitate load monitoring and operate player GPS resultsMonitoring supplement usage and order as requiredLead return to play protocols for Pathways and FPC athletesSupport Strength & Conditioning and general duties for all campaigns as and when requiredFocus: Female Pathways LeadSupport the Pathways Manager to ensure the annual plan and scheduling is aligned for male and female athletesLead Academy Case Management for female athletes including athlete IPP's, regular communication with the athlete and relevant parties and NZR reporting via SmartabaseFocus: Health & SafetyKeep an up to date First Aid CertificateRegular checking of gym equipment for maintenanceEnsure inductions have been completed for all gym users including alarms, doors and windows to lock/unlock, safety use of equipment, cleaning protocol, evacuation, signing of gym waiversIn addition to these key areas of responsibility outlined you are also expected to:Undertake any additional duties that may be required from time to time, and so the specific accountabilities and deliverables stated above should not be looked upon as an exhaustive list of all required duties for this roleParticipate in any team activities or group activities to achieve the overall objectives of the organisationActively work towards achieving the organisations annual performance targetsTraining & DevelopmentAs a team member of the TRFU, you are expected to:Maintain up to date knowledge of areas of expertise and management through approved trainingBe proactive in applying for training and development courses that will improve your performance and personal or professional development in your roleWork with your line manager and the CEO to engage in any personal development opportunities that would benefit the individual and the TRFUOur ValuesThis role is required to adhere to the TRFU's values and overall purpose of Creating Memorable Experiences.We expect all team members to follow our core values in everything they do:ProfessionalAmbitiousCollaborativeAccountableHealth & SafetyAssist and maintain a successful health and safety system, whilst always maintaining a safe workplace for employees and visitors.
