About the Role Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, this very broad role leads a team of multidisciplinary leaders, service managers, and specialists across Dunedin Hospital. This is a tangible opportunity to make a real difference in key areas of health service design and delivery.
About You You are a credible and experienced senior leader who knows what great looks like. You bring an absolute commitment to lifting capability and performance in key areas for the improved outcomes of patients and whanau in the areas of Surgical Services and Radiology. You demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making at all times and will always lead by example and work side by side with your stakeholders and colleagues in direction setting and in pursuit of targets that make a real difference.
To be considered for this position it is essential that you:
Demonstrate high levels of strategic and operational leadership and intellectual bandwidthAre known as a resilient and visionary leader among your peersHave a track record of ownership and accountability in programme and change managementKnow how to get the best from dispersed teams and managing through othersBring drive and tenacity for performance excellence and improved measurable resultsHave strong financial acumen, including the ability to build strong business cases built on evidence and analysis and the ability to manage a large operational budgetAre an exemplary relationship builder with organisational nousHealth experience and/or clinical background beneficial but not essentialCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsHow to Apply To view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
