**_ The role/Te mahi_**

As a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Surgical Sciences, your focus will be supporting the Advanced Learning in Medicine (ALM) alignment project and supporting delivery of surgical tutorials.
- Key tasks of this role will also include:

- Preparing and developing course plans and programme design for delivery of the 4th, 5th and 6th year surgery programmes.
- Designing course materials and outlines and participating in curriculum development.
- Delivering tutorials for surgical modules.
- Implementing and evaluating assessment tools and criteria, marking assessments, ensuring adequate moderation, and providing appropriate feedback to students.
- Coordinating OSCE’s (Observed Structured Clinical Assessment) and ensuring they align to the teaching plan.

- A relevant higher degree. This could include MB ChB or equivalent.
- Relevant Extensive teaching experience.
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people within a teaching and research environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
