We're at the beginning of an exciting chapter here at ACC, with a 10-year enterprise strategy 'Huakina Te Ra' that has big aspirations towards improving equity of access and experience, injury prevention and rehabilitation outcomes for New Zealanders, while ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the Scheme.
The Strategy Lead will take our forward-looking organisational strategy and lead the work required to enable the business to implement the strategy.
This will include proactively engaging with internal partners to build their understanding of the strategy and how to apply it in their work, supporting our organisational longer term planning, and supporting the setting of ACC's strategic priorities annually.
The Strategy Lead also works with stakeholders to maintain a comprehensive understanding of ACC's operating environment, external landscape and strategic opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation of ACC's future-oriented organisational strategy, by ensuring this is reflected in business planning, roadmaps and priorities.Provide strategic advice and support to senior management, utilizing insights from cross-sector engagement and government strategy.Partner with internal stakeholders to embed a waka hourua approach across ACC, consistent with our responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi/The Treaty of Waitangi.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to support strategic initiatives.Foster a supportive and high-performing team environment through effective leadership and coaching.About YouYou will have experience in strategy development and execution, strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence at senior levels, and leading and coaching a high-performing team.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Take our 10 year strategy from concept to execution.Use your experience and relationship skills to ensure our four strategic priorities are weaved through all our work.Support ACC's strategy system with a coordinated framework for integrated strategies and aligned business planning.Lead a strategic engagement plan that delivers insights and connections.Provide a strategic outlook and partner with the business to ensure alignment.Build and lead a cohesive, constructive and supportive team.Demonstrate commitment to Huakina Te Ra through embedding our Nga Pae Arahi principles, and actively leading/working on mahi that moves ACC towards achieving the Whainga Matua | goals of our enterprise strategy.We know that a diverse and inclusive team helps us meet the needs of our customers and we welcome candidates from every ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, age, and those with a disability or who have additional mental health needs.

The base salary range for this role is $145,126 - $178,977 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities.
ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
