Help us build the future and we'll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career.Our global network is made up of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists all working towards the same goal.GHD is on a lookout for dynamic and talented Senior Electrical Engineers to join our team in Auckland or Christchurch.In this role, you will contribute to project delivery including design (concept to details), and technical advisory of industrial and renewable power clients (e.g. wind, solar, large scale battery energy storage system (BESS), and hydroelectricity).The role:Assist the Business Group Leader and Technical Directors to develop and manage Power & Future Energy Business Plan for the New Zealand and wider APAC region.Lead and contribute to business development activities including liaising with clients, building new and maintaining existing client relationships with industrial and renewable power clients including wind (onshore/offshore), solar, large scale battery energy storage system (BESS), and hydroelectricity.Design and deliver all aspects of projects associated with feasibility, concept, reference, detailed, construction, commissioning and post-construction phases.Primary focus is projects in the New Zealand/Pacific region.Opportunities to work across the wider APAC region.Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.Deliver innovative and robust technical solutions to projects, appropriately involving the power Service Line Leaders/Coordinators.About you:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 10 years industry experience (consulting environment preferable)Project Management experience, Project Management Certified (preferred)Design Management experience (Preferred)CPEng or actively working towards obtainmentHaving a robust working knowledge of general Industrial Electrical, supply, distribution, instrumentation, control, and automation.Knowledgeable and competent user of key transmission and distribution design software.Excellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenSound technical understanding of industrial power and renewable energy opportunitiesAbility to work independently to high quality.Preparing / leading job-winning proposals and marketing pursuitsPromote our values of teamwork, knowledge-sharing, integrity, and respectProactive, decisive, with problem-solving skillsStrong analytical thinker; self-motivated and energeticProject/Client problem solving focusClick 'Apply' to submit your CV or reach out to Zen Chua (******) for more information.What's in it for you:Insurances paid for by GHD (life, trauma and income protection)Up to 20 days extra leave with our holiday buy-back schemeDaily interaction with high performing teamsProfessional development and ongoing trainingCompetitive remunerationFlexible working arrangements for work-life balanceOpportunities to learn from our industry experts and technical gurus across APAC.A highly supportive and collaborative team environmentWe will set you up for success with the latest hardware, tools and techAt GHD, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.GHD is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunities and invites applications from people of all nationalities, genders, and cultural backgrounds.
