With KiwiRail's support, undertake an asset risk assessment across the network to identify golden assets and ensure works on these assets are prioritised in KiwiRail's Network Management PlansWork with AT, our customers and stakeholders to identify increased rail maintenance windows that maximise the amount of time in which KiwiRail can take possession of lines without overly affecting customer services.
This could include replacing trains with bus services towards the end of serviceJointly resourcing and delivering projects through accessing subject matter experts to help KiwiRail understand and resolve technical issues as requiredThe development of AOR's Network Management Plan, Network Improvement Plan and Track Possession Management Plan and coordinating all activities between AOR and KiwiRail in relation to the performance of the networkThe role will provide oversight and coordination of all committees and working groups associated with the interaction between AOR and KiwiRail, which include amongst others:Auckland Network Performance CommitteeDay of Operations Coordination Working GroupStakeholder & Communications CommitteeAuckland Network Safety CommitteeAsset Management Planning CommitteeAsset Standards CommitteeAuckland Network Development CommitteeAuckland Network Performance Steering CommitteeOther duties and responsibilities may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.Essential CriteriaSound knowledge of the principles of network access undertakings (Auckland Network Access Agreement)National Rail System Standards and associated qualifications in rail assetsMinimum 10 years' experience in the rail industry, dealing with rail network management or improvementDemonstrated ability to critically review rail network asset management plansDemonstrated ability to assess FMECA and assign proportional responsibility to incidentsComputer proficiency and excellent verbal and written communication essentialAt AOR, we value diversity – in the backgrounds, ideas, work styles and perspectives of our team.
