About the role: Are you a visionary leader passionate about shaping the future of a thriving community? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Strategy and Engagement Leadership Team as the Head of Strategy and Performance. In this role, you'll be at the heart of shaping the growth and development of the Selwyn District by leading key strategic initiatives and ensuring that our work aligns with our long-term goals.
In this role you will:
Lead and support your teams to achieve clear goals, foster collaboration, and create a positive and empowering work environment. Your leadership will inspire trust and commitment as you build effective teams that drive success.Spearhead the development and implementation of corporate strategies, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. You'll lead the way in ensuring that strategies are continuously monitored, measured, and improved.Lead the review of business processes to ensure that services are delivered efficiently, both internally and externally. Your work will be instrumental in driving performance improvements, coaching teams, and helping us stay adaptable in a fast-changing environment.Develop and lead the delivery of strategic frameworks focused on intergenerational wellbeing, sustainability, resilience, and growth. Providing strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team and guiding major planning cycles will be key aspects of your work.Work across departments and engage in regional and sub-regional collaborative strategy development. Leading governance, procurement, and performance frameworks will also be part of your role.About you: We're seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. With over 10 years of experience in programme and project management, process design, and organisational development, you bring a wealth of knowledge from working in large, multidisciplinary, and complex environments.
You will also have:
