We enable digital, marketing and product teams with key information to; understand the current trends, customer and scape, inform and motivate customer behaviour and shape customer, product & marketing strategy.
The teams we work with are split geographically between the US and Australia.As the Head of Data Science in the Marketing Data Science, Analytics & Insights team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality data science and measurement frameworks to enable fast decision making and strategic design.
You will collaborate with senior leaders in their own and adjacent teams to align priorities and manage high-risk or strategic program delivery.
You regularly work with peers and senior leadership to shape medium to long-term roadmaps, building strong relationships with senior leaders from collaborating verticals.
What you'll doApply your existing experience and skills to leverage customer analytics, measurement and science other related methodologies Conduct data analysis, data exploration, data profiling and statistical analysis to support improve performance across all areas of the businessCollaborate cross functionally with solution architects, data engineering, data analysts, data science, dataOps, business analysts and developers to ensure all deliveries are supported by the correct architectural implementation.
Provide expert advice and guidance on data quality-related activities and present complex analysis to stakeholders, in a simple and compelling way.Drive innovation through science and experimentation, researching opportunities and and staying on top of new advanced analytics and marketing science techniques Coach and mentor a team of Data ScientistsMeasure, benchmark and analyse the performance of Xero's digital and marketing experiences across multiple platforms and channelsBe a major contributor and advocate for driving a culture of data literacy within your portfolio and ensuring that future decisions are based on facts.What you'll bring with youQualification and 7+ years in Data Analytics and Science with advanced marketing science knowledge Leadership experience in Data Analytics and Science within the digital or tech industryExtensive experience in building predictive & attribution models Experience with unstructured data sourcesExperience delivering analytics in the form of visualizations and interactive dashboardsEagerness to understand the business context to help inform your approach to the analytical activities, and solve customer problems alongside your stakeholdersCustomer-centric mindset, with proven ability to recommend opportunities that drive greater advocacyExperience building and scaling experimentation practices, statistical methods, and tools in a large scale organisationAbility to tackle unfamiliar domains and work with complex and diverse datasetsProven track record of building out a data-driven culture where data drives the strategy forward.Ability to break down complex data and deliver meaningful, actionable insights to stakeholders in a clear and digestible wayKnowledge in data platforms & EDW methodologies; Data analysis, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing.
