Are you an event technician or asset management superstar who loves theatre and leading teams? We are on the hunt for a Venue Technical Manager for our busy 550 seat theatre in Hamilton. We are looking for someone to work closely with our General Manager as part of our leadership team, with a focus on excellence in our building and equipment management, and on managing the technical aspects of our venue and events. A key purpose of this role is to inspire and lead our other team members working in these areas. We have an amazing group of staff and volunteers, and we are looking for someone that will support them to be the best they can be and ensure everyone is safe, clear on their roles and responsibilities, and enjoy being part of our team.  We have an ambitious strategic plan and are on a journey to be the best we can be, so the person in this role will be instrumental in leading improvements to our technical operations and building and equipment offerings, and will contribute to creating a magical atmosphere for people visiting our theatre.  To be successful in this role you'll need: A positive, can-do attitudeA love for working with people and ensuring they have a wonderful experienceTechnical experience in events or asset managementBe cool calm and collected under pressureThe ability to manage and direct your own and others time effectivelyClarence Street Theatre's purpose is to improve the wellbeing of the community of Hamilton and greater Waikato through connection, representation and participation in performing arts and associated activities. We do this by providing inclusive and accessible spaces, facilities and support for participation and engagement in all aspects of the performing arts.
