Working alongside other Senior Communication Advisors, you will develop and great communication strategies and plans, that support our staff, and enhance public trust and confidence in Police.
This role will require you to be comfortable with strategic, project, internal and external communications.
You will be an innovative and solutions-focussed thinker, with a proven ability to leverage strong relationships across multiple internal stakeholders.
This fixed term role will be primarily dedicated to the implementation of the Public Safety Network - Police Programme (PSN-PP).
The PSN is the new modern communications service for New Zealand's frontline emergency responders – Police, Fire and Emergency, St John and Wellington Free Ambulance - built in collaboration with Next Generation Critical Communications, Tait Systems NZ and Hourua.
It includes secure, encrypted digital land mobile radio and cellular services.
The PSN-PP team has been established to support Police prepare and transition to the new network, while working in collaboration with our PSN partners.
This is an important and exciting project that will support our frontline staff and all emergency responders.
You will work closely with the PSN team as we enter the next phase of modernising our communications for New Zealand's emergency services.
Key Accountabilities: * Communication - Provide strategic communications advice and support, and ensure that the PSN communications channels are well understood, maintained and current.
* Operating Experience – Develop, manage, and deliver communication events and products – including print and digital platforms.
* Strategic Understanding – Ensure PSN communications are aligned with ICT and Police strategic objectives.
* Self-directed, motivated, and led – The ability to provide direction, motivation and leadership of this critically important portfolio as well as the ability to Identify risk to Police reputation.

Utu a-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
