You will be responsible for leading terms and product cost negotiations with a range of suppliers as part of the Optimised Buying Project for Gilmours.This is the opportunity to bring your category management, commercial contract & negotiation expertise to the forefrontThe Optimised Buying Project is key within Wholesale, and you will be focused on:Reviewing the current position for selected Categories and Suppliers to establish negotiation position and set targetsWorking with the wider team to embed the negotiation strategy (range optimisation, category levers, product elasticity and pricing)Leading Supplier negotiations alongside Category ManagersReview, gain approvals and action progress updates for terms and costs from a steering groupFacilitation and negotiation of buying agreements with SuppliersManage impact/change initiatives from Category, Customer Insights, Membership & Property teamsHe korero mou - About youHigh energy, excited by challenge, thick skinned, entrepreneurial, up to date with market trends, commercially savvy with the confidence & knowledge to build strong relationships is what we needYou will have strong commercial acumen, working at a senior level reviewing commercial contracts and formulating negotiation strategies – then executing these using your B2B wholesale category knowledge.
