About the Role Hutt Hospital has an eight theatre suite.
We are a dynamic and innovative provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery involving multi-disciplinary teams; along with services for obstetrics and gynaecological, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental, maxillofacial, and acute services.
We are looking for an HCA within the Operating Theatre.
You will become a part of a close-knit team and support the patients throughout their perioperative journey.
About the Team/Service/Location The Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a member of the Perioperative Department team appointed to support and work alongside staff.
S/he will assist with delegated patient care, cleaning, undertake housekeeping, clerical functions, and assisting with stores.
The HCA may also be required to undertake a specific area of responsibility, as assigned by their manager.
This is a fast-paced, quality-driven, patient-focused environment, with a dynamic and supportive team.
HCAs are well supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated nurse educators.
About You Previous experience in a health care setting desirableA high level of professionalism and communicationAbility to work well within a multi-disciplinary teamAble to work on a rostered and rotating basis with an on-call service for overnight coverPreference given to candidates with Level 3 Health & Wellbeing Certification or equivalent or prepared to complete within specified timeframesHow to Apply To apply please click 'apply now.'
