We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to join our inpatient service at Hutt Hospital.
The social worker in this role will cover into all areas of the hospital when the usual social worker is on leave or in periods of high demand.
Areas include the Emergency Department, Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Intensive Care Unit, Women's Health, and Paediatrics.
The role will be varied and interesting with the opportunity to flex into different areas of the hospital.
The Social Worker will be supported to up skill in areas they are not familiar with.
The social worker will be allocated referrals by either the Social Work Team Leader or Social Work Coordinator.
Mo to matou ropu – About our team Our social work team based at Hutt Hospital provides a service to patients and their whanau across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
We are a friendly, highly supportive medium sized team of around 12.
Mou – About you As the successful candidate you will have a real passion for working in health social work and be highly motivated to improving health outcomes for patients and their whanau.
You will be able to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies.
