Our space systems business includes our extensive line of satellites and components that have enabled more than 1,700 missions including the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA Psyche Mission, Artemis I, Mars Ingenuity helicopter, and more.Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heightsSUPERVISOR - MECHANICAL ASSEMBLYAs a Supervisor of Mechanical assembly based at Rocket Lab's site in Auckland, New Zealand, you will work on leading daily activities for up to 20 technicians, health and safety, quality and support R&D activities. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage resources to meet expected production rate increases, align capacity to production forecast, develop leadership in direct reports, improve processes and increase efficiency with a very high level of attention to detail. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Join a driven team that's tackling challenging projects, delivering on exciting missions, and making an impact on the future of spaceWHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Supervise and manage technicians in the production teamLead daily activities of teamIdentify and implement improvementsBe responsible for the quality of the workReport on team metricsSupport R&D activitiesAssist with pre-production manufacturing and develop the process to full rate productionYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:NZ: High School diploma, NCEA level 2 (at least 60 credits) or equivalentUS: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
