**SUPERVISOR - MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY**

Supervisor of Mechanical assembly based at Rocket Lab's site in Auckland, New Zealand. In this role you will work on leading daily activities for up to 20 technicians, health and safety, quality and support R&D activities. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage resources to meet expected production rate increases, align capacity to production forecast, develop leadership in direct reports, improve processes and increase efficiency with a very high level of attention to detail. In addition you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. **WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO**:

- The role's responsibilities_
- Supervise and manage technicians in the production team
- Lead daily activities
- Identify and implement improvements
- Be responsible for the quality of the work.
- Root-cause-analysis
- Report on team metrics
- Support R+D activities
- Assist with pre-production manufacturing and develop the process to full rate production

**YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A list of required experience, qualifications, and training._
- NZ: High School diploma, NCEA level 2 (at least 60 credits) or equivalent.
- US: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. A&P license (for Lead Technician
- Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
- Proven ability to manage resources to meet expected production rate increases.
- Proven ability to aligning capacity to production forecast
- Proven ability to develop leadership in direct reports
- Has shown ability to improve processes and increase efficiency
- A very high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously
- Able to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
