Second Front of House Manager position in beautiful Golden Bay.
This is a dual position with the existing FOH manager; the role has become too big, and we would like to split the position between 2 people.
We are a long-standing iconic cafe in a large historic building on the south island.
The hours will range from 7am to 10 pm over seven days, with a minimum of 30 hours.
Three years of relevant experience are needed.
We want to expand into dinner service, so the successful candidate must be available evenings on weekends and capable of split shifts if needed.
The position of Front of House Manager is as set down in the Employment Agreement.
The actual hours of work will be as agreed with Management and will be flexible enough to meet the needs and circumstances of the Wholemeal Café, together with the reasonable ability of the Employee to respond to this dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: At times, planning menus & specials in consultation with Chefs Planning and organising special functions Purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget & costings Maintaining records of stock levels Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance at all times Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service Selecting and training/overseeing the training of new employees Reporting & record keeping in the Food Control Plan Completing sufficient training for all FOH staff Fulfilling, packaging and shipping online coffee orders through Shopify Overseeing and directing all staff throughout the shift Duty Managers Golden Bay is a remote tourist town, and accommodation is in high demand, so a connection to the area can be very helpful if choosing to relocate.
A fixed local address or tenancy agreement is essential for the successful applicant.
