Queenstown, New Zealand The Glebe Luxury Apartments Full time

You are responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the building.
This includes apartments, outdoor areas, storage rooms, and the maintenance cupboards.
Your daily focus will be on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting appliances, and grounds-keeping.
You will respond to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests.
Maintenance of company property may include and is not limited to appliance servicing, basic carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, and general maintenance.
You will not be expected to perform work that requires certifications.
You will be trained to respond to fire alarms as well as be familiar with the facilities water shut off/on procedures.
You may be asked to help the front desk facilitate basic services for our guests, such as baggage handling.
You should be able to work independently and be familiar with the use of both powered and manual tools.Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to property operational standards.Perform preventative maintenance in apartments, outdoor areas, and storage rooms.Always maintain a clean and safe working environment.Report emergency and unusual situations immediately.Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and building property.Perform duties and projects assigned by Operations Manager.Determine the exact cause and location of any fire alarms and communicate findings with management and front desk.Complete daily work sheets and fill out maintenance log.Assist the housekeeping team when needed.A presentable appearance and polite communication style with guests.QualificationsKnowledge/Education/Experience:Experience with general maintenance work or property upkeep.Experience with day-to-day accommodation operations.Trade certifications in associated field preferred a plus.Experience with gardening, housekeeping, and chemicals a plus.Full Drivers License.Physical Requirements:The ability to work a physical job.Heavy work – Exerting up to 60kgs of force occasionally, and/or 30kgs of force frequently and/or up to 20kgs of force constantly while lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving and maintaining objects.CompensationFull-time or Part-time: 20 to 40 hours per week.$28-$32 based on experience.Annual Leave, Holiday and Sick Pay.Parking.Flexible Schedule and respectful/can-do work culture.
