This role requires a blend of client management, technical expertise and team leading to drive impactful climate solutions across diverse sectors.You will work closely with internal teams, sub-consultants and partners to enhance climate action for our clients, ensuring compliance with leading disclosure frameworks, standards and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesClient ManagementAct as a point of contact for key clients, including international agencies, national government ministries, local councils, corporates, SMEs, and non-profits.Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality service and alignment with their goals.Market ResponsesLead and contribute to the preparation of highly technical proposals for climate-related projects.Represent the company at conferences, workshops, and industry events, staying engaged with thought leadership in environmental action.Build strong relationships with the Technical Team, establishing trust and confidence.Lead the technical team of consultants providing guidance, support, and expertise.Ensure effective collaboration between project teams, sub-consultants, and external partners to deliver high-impact solutions.Coaching and mentoring team members to foster growth and skill development.Effective communication and collaboration to drive engagement and alignment of the technical team objectives.Empowering the team to take ownership and innovate within their roles.Take responsibility for Technical Team Performance Reviews.Carbon Accounting & Climate DisclosureAdvise clients on climate mitigation, adaptation strategies, and policy development, helping them align with global standards.Lead the analysis, modelling, and reporting of GHG emissions in accordance with international standards (e.g.
ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISSB, CSRD, TCFD, XRB).Support climate audits and assurance processes, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with best practices.Provide technical training and workshops to both internal teams and external clients on carbon accounting, emissions reduction, and climate-related financial disclosures.Technical Expertise & ComplianceProvide technically accurate advice, ensuring clients meet their climate commitments, regulatory requirements, and voluntary targets.Conduct cutting-edge analysis and provide insights to inform climate action plans and corporate strategies.Stay updated on climate policy developments, industry regulations, and global trends, ensuring clients receive best-in-class advisory services.Actively participate in Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) initiatives.Ensure compliance with HS&W policies, procedures, and best practices in all consulting and project management activities.Key Skills & ExperienceStrong client management skills, with experience advising senior stakeholders on climate-related risks, reporting, and strategy.Deep knowledge of climate disclosure frameworks (e.g.
TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, GRI, XRB) and best-practice greenhouse accounting methodologies (e.g.
