Hourly Rate Contract - $75-95 per hour depending on experience Location: Wellington based Job Reference Number – JA6341 About the role: Our client is a large government agency looking for project managers or project/programme coordinators to support the delivery of process and project management activities across a large international development programme.
The roles will suit junior project managers or more experienced programme coordinators or analysts.
They are required to work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure effective delivery.
They will lead procurement, contracting, and contract management of external suppliers and also require a degree of financial and budget management.
Candidates also need to have strong business rather than IT backgrounds, and any exposure to policy environments would be beneficial.
Strong critical analysis and/or writing skills are also essential.
This is an hourly rate contract opportunity starting ASAP for 9 to 12 months.
They may also wait for the right person.
The role will be Wellington based and ideally full-time, but there might be some flexibility for the right candidate.
Key skills and experience required: Strong Project Coordination or Project Management experience in the public sectorDemonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects in difficult environments, including the management of more than one project simultaneouslyBudget and financial management experienceComfortable with processes, and experienced in driving projects through the machinery of GovernmentExperience in the tendering, procurement, and contracting of work, and on contractual management of suppliersExperience working in an international context, and an understanding of development issues (preferred)Experience working in sectors including Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Transport, Industry & InnovationWhat's next: If this sounds like you or you'd be keen to find out more, please send an updated CV to James Atkin at ****** quoting job reference JA6341 for a confidential chat.
