And right now, we're looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our Pool and Leisure Centre team at West Wave to help achieve that goalThis is a fantastic job where you don't need any formal qualifications or experience to apply – just a passion to work with our diverse community while also making a difference
We'll provide the training you need to succeed in the role.Day-to-day you could expect to work on:Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this
)Maintaining a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitorsBeing part of an amazing team serving your local communitySupporting our customer service team when requiredWe are looking for 2 casual Learn to Swim instructors.
Our centre is open 7 days a week.
The ability to work in the morning, evening, and weekends is essential.He korero mou: About youYou will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public.Previous experience working with children would be beneficial.If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that'd be fantastic.
However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job.
If you do not have a recognised swim teacher qualification, AUSTSWIM, or a first-aid certificate, you will be required to attend the following training dates below some days between Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm:14th - 24th April 2025Our successful candidate will be comfortable in the water and be able to:Swim 20 metres freestyleTread water for 3 minutesIn addition to your swimming skills, we're looking for individuals with proven administration and communication skills, a track record of providing outstanding customer service, and excellent maturity and reliability.
