Then read on.The OpportunityAIA NZ's Strategy team is the custodian of AIA NZ's strategy and plays a pivotal role in setting our strategic direction.As the Strategy Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders in the business, including senior leaders and managers to ensure research and reporting is achieved to develop and implement AIA New Zealand's Strategy - often supporting cross functional teams to drive strategies, projects, and other key initiatives to deliver short and long term value to AIA NZ.
This role will support the Head of Strategy to monitor, advise and report in respect of the economic, market, regulatory and competitive environment ensuring the Board, AIA Group, and Executive Team are provided with appropriate insight to support strategic decisions.The strategy analyst will support the Head of Strategy in all strategic matters and influence across the organisation.Key Responsibilities IncludeAssist in the development and communication of a robust strategy that will enable AIA NZ to deliver on our purpose and aspiration through provision of strategic insights, analysis and communications.Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to ensure that risks, interdependencies, costs, and benefits are well understood and actively managed.Provide support to the Head of Strategy and other stakeholders in preparation for Board, Group, and Executive strategy and planning meetings and reporting.Maintain an understanding of the economy, insurance market, trends, strategies and activities of other key competitors and regulators, and communicate this and implications for AIA NZ.Develop and maintain a high reputation of the Strategy team throughout the enterprise through network building and consistent professional interactions with all levels of the business.Maintain a strong collegial team ethic and willingness to share and challenge ideas, support others.Assist with any other projects or initiatives as they arise.Ideally, You'll BringStrong analytical and problem solving skills, including strong financial acumen, reasoning, logic, modelling, and analysis.Effective stakeholder communications and partnering ability.Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and outcomes to deadlines.Strategy development and execution – strategy consulting, investment bank, strategy role at large corporate preferred.Experience in business case creation and financial modeling.Support for strategic discussions, presentations, and workshops for senior management and audiences.QualificationsTertiary and / or post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline (i.e.
