This role provides clinical leadership and operational management of all clinicians based in the Fresh Minds centre at Manukau.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Programmes & Partnerships, this role is responsible for ensuring quality clinical outcomes, a positive client experience, and day-to-day operational management.This role ensures that our services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based best practice and dealing with any escalated clinical matters as they arise, with responsibility for implementing the clinical quality, safety, risk management, and achievement of the key performance indicators across the centres.
In conjunction with the Operations Manager and Clinical Head, this role will place a high emphasis on continuous improvement, building clinical capability, and ensuring our clients have a good experience.This is a full-time role, with 0.2 FTE for the Team Lead role and 0.8 FTE for the Mental Health Practitioner component.
The first section of this job description is for the Team Lead role, and the second section is for the Mental Health Practitioner role.The successful candidate will have the following key skills/attributes:Minimum of 5 years' experience as a registered and practising mental health clinician.Minimum of 1 year's clinical team leadership experience, in a healthcare or similarly funded/regulated environment.Displays understanding and empathy towards others' situations by communicating issues sensitively, and tactfully and being mindful of the impact of any communication/interaction.Communicates confidently and supportively with all tiers of staff and clients and utilizes active listening skills as appropriate.Skilled in the identification, classification, and definition of mental health problems.Manages and plans own workload to achieve objectives with efficiency and effectiveness, in support of a high-quality service.Pays attention to detail in own work and documentation ensuring accuracy and quality.Actively supports referral processes.Manages internal and external relationships to achieve the best outcomes for clients and the service.Performs consistently and effectively in stressful situations and actively manages own stress, towards the goals of individual and interpersonal wellness.A passion for improving equitable health outcomes for the population of Tamaki Makaurau and Aotearoa, New Zealand.A desire to understand and appreciate Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to Fresh Minds/ProCare and how it shapes our efforts.Qualifications Required:Registered mental health practitioner (Psychologist, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker)Clinical qualification to degree level or higher.The benefits of working with us:Working with some of the best clinicians in the country, delivering best-practice care whilst enjoying a highly engaging and positive working environment.Competitive remuneration, comprehensive health insurance cover, wellness programmes, gym, and retail discounts.Dedicated training and supervision allowance, professional indemnity insurance, APC reimbursement, and in-house staff training.How to apply?If this sounds like something you are looking for, please click the "apply" button and complete the registration process via the link.
