We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team
Reporting to the Finance Manager and ultimately accountable to the Chief Executive Officer this role is crucial in supporting our financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable: Assist in debt recovery, send invoices, manage repeating invoicing schedules, and ensure accurate revenue tracking.Accounts Payable: Upload bills into Xero, prepare payment batches, check statements, and ensure timely payments.Payroll Support: Assist with fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.General Administration: Maintain financial records, generate reports, and provide administrative support as needed.Process Improvement: Ensure best practices in AR/AP processes and maintain accurate supplier and customer records.What You Bring:Experience: At least 2-3 years in an accounts or finance role.Xero Proficiency: Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.Payroll Knowledge: Experience with payroll systems and an understanding of the Holidays Act is an advantage.Detail-Oriented: Strong accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.Ethical & Reliable: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.Strong Communication: Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.Work Eligibility: Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and hold a valid driver's licence.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
