5 days agoDescriptionJob Title: Nurse Director - Surgery and AnaesthesiaAbout the Role:This is a key member of the directorate clinical and operational partnership, providing an environment that supports the delivery of safe, high-quality and effective healthcare within allocated resources.The role reports operationally to the Operations Director and works in a partnership model with the Operations Director and Medical Directors to foster strong inter-professional teams delivering high standards of care.You will provide professional and clinical advice to the Operations Director and be connected via the Office of Chief Nurse Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato.The role will line manage the Nurse Managers who will support this role to ensure all components of Care Capacity Demand Management are understood, implemented, and monitored.About the Service:Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Waikato provides health services in the Waikato region to a combined population of over 400,000 people, and tertiary-level services to the Midland region, with a population of over 840,000.Waikato Hospital in Hamilton provides the most specialised and complex medical care and is recognised as both a tertiary and accredited training hospital.About You:We are looking for someone with proven experience (minimum of 7 years) in an operational leadership role alongside extensive clinical knowledge and experience in the surgical/theatre environments.
