We are looking for a Production Team Member for a fixed-term role, working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, until the end of February 2025. Please Note: We have a shutdown period over Christmas from December 23rd, 2024, to January 3rd, 2025.
What you can expect to do in this role: Use specialised processes and hi-tech equipment to prefabricate all types of trusses, frames, beams, and rafters to meet both domestic and commercial requirements.Ensure all products meet Mitre 10's high standards by performing regular quality checks and adhering to production specifications.Work with a 'One Team' approach, collaborating effectively with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines.Follow safe work practices and comply with site Health & Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving materials, to support the production process.Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.What we need from you: Drive to Succeed: A strong motivation to excel and strive for excellence in all tasks.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality and precision in all tasks.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team with an 'honest & fair' mindset, contributing positively to the team dynamic.Physical Fitness: Capability to carry out the manual handling requirements of the role, as this is a fast-paced, physical job.Communication Skills: Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attending all rostered shifts and following company procedures.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the production process.What Mitre 10 can offer: Paid day off for your birthdayGenerous staff discount at the local Mitre 10 StoreDiscounted rates at multiple local gyms, dentists, optometrists and moreA supportive and friendly team environmentWe are committed to ensuring that our team arrive home safe every day, so we require all team members to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.
