We have two trucks in our fleet which helps us service not only Taupo but the wider district, from south of Turangi around the Western and Eastern sides of Taupo to south of Tokoroa. About the role We are hiring a class 4 driver on a permanent basis for our Taupo depot. You will be responsible for emptying and cleaning commercial, industrial, and residential septic tanks including grease traps. You will be working Monday to Friday including some weekends (as and when required). We work early hours which usually means 5:00am-5:30am start times and mid-afternoon finishes. Starting your morning off early with grease traps in the Taupo CBD Throughout the day you'll be emptying and cleaning septic tanks in the Taupo district Customer service is part of the job – you might need to answer questions or provide solutions when onsite Accurate measurements of litres picked up from our customers General maintenance and truck washing is all part of the job About you At least 6 months' driving experience with a clean Class 4 Driver's License Experience delivering goods on any class of license Current Dangerous Goods endorsement or be willing to undergo training for one Physical fitness with the ability to move heavy items when sucking out septic tanks Flexibility and adaptability with a customer service focus Available for on-call weekends Understanding of Health & Safety regulations Works well under pressure The salary & benefits You'll receive a competitive salary & Kiwisaver - plus a great team and excellent benefits Paid training - we'll help you get your Dangerous Goods endorsement and any other licenses that you require Work vehicle & bonuses will be part of a long-term plan if the employee meets their KPI measures Health and safety is important at Rainbow and to ensure our high standards are maintained, successful applicants must undergo pre-employment checks including a medical and drug test, Ministry of Justice and License checks, and references.
