We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone's uniqueness and diversity can shine.Job DescriptionBased at Cambridge, this fast-paced, challenging role will allow you to showcase your commercial construction management experience and further develop these skills on this $100m development.
Reporting to the Commercial Site Manager, you will be instrumental in the ongoing construction of the multi-level main building.This is a 12-month fixed term position.What will your responsibilities be?Establishment, monitoring and implementation of the construction programAdministrative duties including:Generation and tracking of RFIsIssue Site InstructionsContractor coordinationManaging and implementing construction QA processesUpdating safety documentation (traffic plans, site specific plans, contractor compliance documentation)Ensure documents are up to date and forwarded to contractorsUpholding a 'Zero Harm' culture on siteManage and develop direct reports to ensure all aspects of the project deliverables are controlled.Who are we looking for?Have a relevant trade qualification (e.g.
Advanced Trade Cert Building) or qualification in Construction or Project ManagementHave significant experience in 'hands-on' site management of commercial developments and contractorsExcellent programming ability (MS Project), organisational and negotiation skillsHave sound commercial judgement with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerAble to lead large teams to a common goal, must have experience coordinating and managing subcontractors on a large scale projectA systems and process driven construction professional who understands the importance of proper QA and H&S reporting systemsAn effective and dynamic communicator able to identify and deliver differing communication streams to achieve best results to a large audienceBenefitsSummerset's known for its excellent benefits and strong sense of values around care, teamwork and drive for excellence.
