Are you an enthusiastic New Zealand registered physiotherapist ready to join our multi-disciplinary team in a fixed term role (for up to one year) covering maternity leave?
This role is within our Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation (AT&R) unit at Hawke's Bay Hospital.
About the Team/Service/Location Our inpatient AT&R unit caters for people with a variety of acute and long term conditions ranging from elective orthopaedic procedures to neurological conditions and complex discharge planning.

Engaging people and their whanau in care so they can take control of their health and well-beingSetting up consumers to effectively manage long-term conditions or acute illness from hospitalHelping people to develop or adapt their skills, strengths, and abilitiesInnovation and change for better patient outcomesAbout You The ideal candidate will have a passion for rehabilitation, promoting and utilising person-focused goal setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support and develop others.
You will also need the following key attributes and skills:
Current New Zealand RegistrationA minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience is essential, and knowledge of rehabilitation principles, including neuro rehab is highly desirable.Flexible with an ability to work autonomously and within both interprofessional and multidisciplinary styles as needed.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
