That's why at Bupa Liston Heights Retirement Village located in Taupo, we are seeking a Hospitality Host to join our community on a fixed term basis until end of February'25 at this stage - 20 hours/week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 9am to 3pm, every second weekend 10am to 2pm. You will help us rise to the challenges of enriching the lives of society's most vulnerable.The role of a Hospitality Host is an integral part of the running of the Care Home, acting as an intermediary between the kitchen, residents, family/whanau and visitors. This is a diverse and rewarding role where you will support the team Caregivers, Housekeepers, and Activities Coordinators where required, focusing on delivering the highest quality person-first care to residents.Where you will make an impactSupport residents with choosing their meals and communicating the information to the kitchen.Distribute meals and morning/afternoon tea to the residents' rooms or lounge.Support with setting up communication (telephone/video call) between residents and their family/friends.Distribute newspapers and magazines to residents.Assist with setting and clearing the dining room for before and after meal service.Support with making the residents' beds, distributing resident laundry and re-stocking linen cupboard.Assist the housekeeping team with emptying rubbish bins, cleaning and tidying communal and high touch point areas.Support the Activities Coordinator with keeping residents engaged with various activities.What About YouA qualification in hospitality would be advantageous.Previous hospitality or aged care experience is desirable.Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to providing care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly.Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.Reasons to BelongFully subsidised Southern Cross health insurance to our eligible permanent NZ employees and a discount on insurance cover for eligible family members.Wellbeing discounts and advice, EAP counselling services, study support, and cultural leave.Paid parental leave - in addition to standard parental leave, Bupa offers 12 weeks of paid leave for primary carers and 2 weeks for secondary carers.Refer-a-friend programme of $750 - $2,000.Professional Development – in-house and external training and development.Industry-competitive remuneration and benefits, and internal reward and recognition programmes.No matter who you are or where you come from, we encourage you to 'Be You at Bupa.'An accredited employer with Immigration NZ that values its diverse employees.About Bupa: Through vision, passion, and sheer hard work, we are now New Zealand's largest aged care and dementia care provider.
