Vice-President, Advisor Marketing

Location: This position will be based out of our Toronto office.

The opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Marketing, the Vice-President, Advisor Marketing will oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs designed to support and empower our network of financial advisors.
This role will lead a high-performing team that partners closely with advisors to enhance their marketing efforts, increase client acquisition and strengthen brand positioning.
The Vice-President, Advisor Marketing will bring a hybrid background to technical depth and experience in marketing and a creative vision as we strive to deliver first-class marketing support.
This role will also work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives and the broader company vision.
Key responsibilities include: Designing, implementing and continuously refining advisor marketing programs that provide clear value to financial advisors, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to succeed.Managing the execution of marketing offers for the onboarding of investment advisors nationwide as they transition their teams and clients to Wellington-Altus.Overseeing the execution of day-to-day advisor marketing services for all advisor teams across the country.Managing relationships with advisor teams and manage request escalations and reviews.Developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives advisor growth, engagement and retention.Overseeing the creation and implementation of marketing programs, tools and resources that help financial advisors attract and retain clients, improve their marketing ROI and build stronger brands in their local communities.Collaborating with senior leadership to align advisor marketing strategies with company goals and objectives.Leading the establishment, implementation and review of departmental procedures and framework.Developing relationships with the national network of advisors.Acting as a point of contact for prospective advisors and onboarding advisors.Building a high performing marketing team and ensure its effective coordination with other teams across the organization.Fostering collaborative and supportive relationships with corporate executives and key stakeholders.Overseeing the advisor marketing team members and deliverables.Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.Setting clear performance goals for the advisor marketing team and evaluate team members success in achieving those goals.Driving professional development and create opportunities for team members to expand their skills and capabilities.Overseeing departmental staffing, including hiring, performance management and work direction.Supporting the Senior Vice-President, Marketing in team planning, department planning, project strategy and implementation.Creating and evaluating organizational marketing efficiencies.Ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels and materials.Defining and tracking KPIs for advisor marketing campaigns and programs.Using data-driven insights to continually optimize marketing strategies, ensuring maximum impact for advisors.Reporting regularly to senior leadership on the effectiveness of advisor marketing efforts including progress.Designing, developing and delivering meaningful data analysis to assess marketing performance and to help the organization make informed marketing-related decisions.Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry, preferably in a marketing or advisor support capacity.
Experience in the Wealth Management industry or other regulated industry is required.
Deep knowledge of various marketing platforms and tools including Content Management Systems (CMS), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), digital advertising platforms, email marketing and lead nurturing platforms, social media management and analytics, content creation and creative design tools, customer journey mapping and marketing attribution.Proficiency with the MSOffice suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.Experience with senior level marketing strategy and execution.Experience managing marketing budgets.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.Deep knowledge of the financial services industry and the unique marketing needs of financial advisors.Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing programs that drive advisor growth, lead generation and client retention.Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with financial advisors and senior executives.Advanced knowledge across marketing disciplines, including brand marketing, PR, media relations and content management.In-depth knowledge of market and client/customer research methodologies and reporting.Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.Superior problem-solving skills sufficient to resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information.Knowledge and understanding of the industry regulatory environment and how it applies to advisor marketing communications.Conditions of employment: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Must be able to travel 10% of the time.A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community and welcomes applications from women, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientations and genders.
