We are seeking to appoint an experienced and capable Transport Operations Manager, based at our Head Office in Penrose, Auckland.
Thisrole reports to our Operations Manager and has a national travel requirement.
We are seeking an individual to ensure thesafe, cost efficient and effective management of our nationwide collections andtransport operations.
Essentially you will be ensuring our contracted collectionnetworks support our fibre recovery activities throughout the country, whileworking closely with our Operations and Baling Plant Operations Managers.
Keyresponsibilities include: Optimisecollection service daily to meet the requirements of commercial customers Optimisecost effectiveness of 75,000+ fibre transportation movements annually Overseethe selection of transport contractors and provide regular feedback on contractorperformance standards MaintainHealth and safety standards beyond NZTA requirements, ensuring that health andsafety obligations are met by us and our transportation contractors across NZ.
To besuccessful in this role you will: Havesignificant industry experience at a management level in either the Transport,Logistics Operations, Recycling or Waste industry Anexcellent communicator at all levels of the business Greatpeople and contractor management skills Possessgood all-round computer capabilities Beadaptable in a fast-changing environment Bringa positive, upbeat attitude and a drive to succeed.
