Guided by our video-first strategy and commitment to journalistic excellence, you will create original and impactful content that adheres to our editorial code of ethics.This role requires strong broadcast experience, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of how to leverage social media to engage with and grow audiences. You will work collaboratively across teams, contributing to a culture of creativity and experimentation while consistently meeting deadlines.Stuff you'll be doing:Develop and produce exclusive, high-quality video content for digital, social, and broadcast platforms.Ensure all content meets broadcast standards, including technical editing, sound, and image quality.Attend news events and conferences to gather relevant, newsworthy video content.Livestream events and breaking news.Create content with context, clarity, and flair, tailored for digital and broadcast audiences.Contribute original video ideas aligned with the news agenda set by editors.Uphold accuracy, balance, and fairness in all video content.Tag and share content effectively to maximise visibility and engagement.Analyse video performance data to inform and improve future content creation.Actively participate in social media strategies to connect with and grow the audience.Represent the company at events, fostering engagement and trust with the community.Build strong relationships within the newsroom and other departments.Mentor colleagues and support their development when required.Contribute to long-term projects and team objectives with enthusiasm.Stuff you'll bring:Proven experience delivering high-quality video journalism, including broadcast-level production.Strong technical competency with broadcast cameras, video editing software (e.g., Avid, Premiere Pro, iNews), and social media tools.Exceptional journalistic skills, including the ability to write, film, edit, and produce compelling stories.A deep understanding of ethical journalism and audience metrics.Adaptability, flexibility, and a desire to innovate and experiment with new ideas.A positive team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for collaboration.If you are an exceptional visual journalist with a strong presence on social media and a desire to create high-quality, engaging content, think you can do the job?
