We are seeking a versatile and experienced Consulting Architect to join our IT consultancy team. This role is crucial for creating and managing client relationships, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and mentoring our internal team of architects. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative, team-based environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have excellent stakeholder management abilities.The role also involves working closely with the service delivery team to ensure client needs are met within commercial terms and identifying new commercial opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design and Strategy:Develop and implement architectural strategies that align with client needs and business goals.Conduct thorough analysis and problem-solving to design innovative solutions.Understand a client's strategy, business objectives, and long-term needs, and help develop these as necessary.Develop comprehensive architecture strategies (technology, data, integration, etc.) aligned with business goals.Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to meet business requirements.Design scalable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions, including web and mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics platforms.Stay updated with current technology trends and integrate them into architectural practices.Leadership and Collaboration:Mentor and guide the internal team of architects, fostering professional growth and development.Collaborate with the service delivery team to ensure client requirements are met within commercial terms.Promote a team-based, collaborative working environment.Lead and mentor a team of architects and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritize digital initiatives.Act as a technical advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and industry trends.Technical Oversight and Governance:Provide technical oversight and ensure adherence to best practices and governance standards.Review and validate architectural designs and solutions.Ensure the quality and integrity of technical deliverables.Establish and enforce architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines.Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all digital solutions.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring their needs are addressed.Navigate complex stakeholder environments to achieve project success.Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders.Identify new commercial opportunities to enhance client value, without direct sales responsibilities.Continuous Learning and Development:Engage in self-directed learning to stay abreast of industry developments.Encourage and facilitate continuous learning within the team.Participate in professional development activities and training sessions.Demonstrable Qualities and Experience:Proven experience in consulting roles, particularly in technology strategy and enterprise architecture.Strong leadership and mentoring skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on strategic thinking.Deep understanding of business dynamics, organisational structures, and digital transformation initiatives.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.Exceptional stakeholder management.Self-directed and proactive in continuous learning and professional development.Professional Qualifications:Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code).Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).If you are an experienced Enterprise Architect, Cloud Architect, or Solution Architect looking to advance your career, we would love to hear from you.
