The role: We are thrilled to offer an incredible opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our transmission lines team at our Hamilton depot, reporting to the Delivery Manager Engineering. Being the Graduate Engineer, you will: Provide engineering and technical support for transmission line maintenance and project work Offer technical engineering input for Northpower's drone asset inspections Ensure client and Northpower technical requirements are met Ensure adequate levels of resilience and manage risks to an acceptable level Support construction engineering for transmission line maintenance and project work Analyse data and condition assessment information to support decision-making What's in it for you? Ideally, candidates will have prior experience working in a contracting environment. Additionally, possessing the following would be beneficial: Must hold a Full Clean Class 1 Driver's Licence Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required 2 years of work experience in transmission line or wider energy industry Willingness to work in both office and field High proficiency in MS Excel, data analysis, and other MS Office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Confident decision-maker and skilled problem-solver Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in a multicultural environment About us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
