Major Projects Coordinator

The Role:
Northpower is a leading provider of contracting services, delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across New Zealand.
As part of our Major Projects team, we are looking for a Project Coordinator to help drive the success of our high-impact projects.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects run smoothly from bidding through to execution and completion.
You'll be responsible for coordinating project tasks, managing documentation, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Assist in the bidding process and manage bid submissions.Support project planning, scheduling, and handover to the delivery team.Coordinate procurement and resource allocation.Track project progress and maintain documentation.Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including the Project Director.Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet quality and timeframes.Organise and document lessons-learned workshops.Conduct internal audits and make process improvement recommendations.Assist in reporting and administrative tasks, including financial reporting and productivity tracking.

About you: Experience in project delivery and coordination.Strong knowledge of the bidding process and bid management.Ability to interpret and implement project specifications and requirements.Proven experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills.A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.Qualifications in Project Management (preferred but not essential).
