You will be supporting Tangata whai ora to develop individualized goals and skills to manage their wellbeing through healthy lifestyle choices.We understand that everyone has different needs, so we tailor journeys to physical and mental wellbeing through personalised and responsive one-on-one support and we facilitate group programmes and events.Pathways "Being Well" strategy plays a big part in shaping how we work every day.

Wellbeing areas we focus on are physical health and being active, eating well, building connections with peers, whanau and communities, exploring spirituality and working well.
Our mahi is underpinned by an understanding of the impacts of health inequities faced by our Tangata whai ora and we are inspired to address this.Everyone in the team is incredibly passionate about supporting people to live their best lives through tailored exercise, nutrition and lifestyle programmes.
The team is made up of a Healthy Lifestyle Coordinator, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse and Support Workers.
As a support worker in the Health and Wellbeing Team you will have opportunities to support tangata whaiora and kaimahi across Tamakai Makarau, planning and facilitating regional events, supporting our Housing and Recovery services with group activities and will manage a one-on-one caseload.This is a full-time position.
You will be working Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm.
Based in Manukau, Auckland.You | MouCurrent first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent and have experience as a support worker.Experience and passion working with Te Ao MaoriStrong knowledge of the Auckland Health and Social Services sectorsResilient and compassionate about supporting people in their local community.Effective communication and rapport-building skillsAble to work autonomously.Tech savvyApplications close | RaKatinga: Wednesday, 12th March 2025.
