We welcome leaders with a growth mindset and a student-centered focus, who have experience and/or strengths in pastoral care to apply for a permanent classroom teaching role with fixed-term whare pastoral leader responsibilities in our senior school.
Whare pastoral leader responsibilities run for a three-year fixed-term, are renewable, and come with 2MU and 1MMA allowances.
Successful applicants will be innovative leaders, excited to deliver a future-focused and integrated education that provides equitable learning outcomes.
You will be pedagogically progressive, form effective professional relationships, and be keen to contribute to the all-round education of our students.
Whare pastoral leaders support our senior students (Y11-15) with their social and emotional needs, through pastoral care, curriculum implementation, and an integrated social and emotional curriculum.
Successful applicants will provide professional leadership to staff and be committed to developing strong connections with students and whanau.

Strengths in physical education, math, or science are desirable.
Teaching staff appointed to Te Paepae o Aotea are entitled to the High Priority Teacher Supply Allowance.
This means appointees relocating to Hawera are entitled to apply for relocation costs.
