The Opportunity;We're looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Swanson crew on a permanent basisWorking on a variety of heavy vehicle brands including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI and Mitsubishi across our school buses and tour coaches.This role involves a variety of proactive and active maintenance, including COF inspections and day-to-day maintenance and repairs on both diesel and petrol motors, as well as other fleet vehicles as appropriate.We can discuss specific shift patterns with you; however, one weekend day will be required.You'd be joining a multi-cultural, multi-skilled team of 15 people, reporting to the Workshop Manager.There is also the potential for you to be upskilled in EVAbout Us;Ritchies is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's leading passenger transport companies with a team of more than 2,000 people providing coach and charter services across the country.We partner with regional councils and schools to supply public transport services and offer a range of bus and coach hire services to businesses and the general public.

You're comfortable working independently and have a strong level of written and spoken English.You're capable of servicing and repairing vehicles, as well as detecting and diagnosing faults.You understand the expectations set by Waka Kotahi and follow regulations.You have an interest in working on busesYour Skills;
• NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive Qualification or equivalent automotive workshop experience
• Current New Zealand Drivers' License Class 1 (ideally up to C4)
• Reliable
