Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.Health care assistants are the lifeline of the health care industry.About the roleIn this important role, you will help with a range of direct and non-direct patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse and maintain the department environment to ensure efficient and effective functioning, including:Patient watch (patient care partner)/ supervision and/or movement with one-on-one careRestocking and setting up of equipmentSupporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare teamClerical duties as requiredYou will need to be able to commit to rotating rostered shiftsHours of work are Monday to Sunday inclusive, based on rostered shifts including nights and weekends.About usTe Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
