The University of Auckland encapsulates this process as an essential model to welcome new prospective students and their whanau to the University.Job DescriptionTe Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are seeking a motivated and agile Student and Community Engagement/ Recruitment Adviser to join our Schools and Community Engagement Team, reporting to the Te Unga Kaitiaki (Schools Recruitment Manager).You will be responsible for the recruitment of new students into the university, through targeted events on and off campus in schools or community groups.
You will also have an important role in working with key designated faculties in their portfolio of programmes as a relationship manager, ensuring that Faculties needs are being communicated and met by the Schools and Community Engagement function, and they are providing the services and activities to meet those needs.This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term (up to 18 months) opportunity.
You will be based in the Waikato or Bay of Plenty region.QualificationsHe korero mou | About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience, knowledge, and training.Experience developing, maintaining relationships with, and understanding the needs of key stakeholders.Agile experience, or an understanding of cross-function team ways of working in an agile environment.Demonstrable understanding, competence and confidence of te ao Maori.Additional InformationMe pehea te tuku tono | How to applyApplications must be submitted online, by the closing date of 31 March 2025 to be considered.
