About the Role: Our Head Pastry Chef is a hands-on position reporting to the Director of Culinary and tasked with a pivotal leadership role in the Rosewood Kauri Cliffs Culinary team.
Responsibilities include: Creative input with menu development and dish presentation Training, and development of our pastry chefs Effort into optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality Ensure exceptional hygiene practices are maintained Monitor and control food costs Support the Director of Culinary with general administration tasks  About You: The successful candidate will be agile, have a can do attitude and proven success working in a high pressure environment.
In addition, the successful candidate will have: Proven senior level leadership experience within a 4-5 star Hotel and /or Lodge A minimum of 6 years experience leading a Kitchen team Exceptional cooking techniques and meticulous processes An interest to actively seek and use local produce The agility to meet the daily guest requests and menu changes Good time management, effective team communication skills and the ability to multitask Be a team leader and player A hands on Pastry Chef who is involved with the daily operation and delivery of memorable experiences for our guests and the team Core to the success of the individual in this role is that their personal values are aligned with those of Rosewood Hotels: Ownership, Passionate, Transparent, Innovative and Collaborative.
