Alongside this, we are wanting someone who is confident to drive sales and meet targets with ease. It is fast-paced, so bring your energy and love for all things fashion to our unique boutiqueIn this role you will:Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop, including presentation, stock-sorting, pricing and opening and closing procedures.Create a welcoming, stylish shopping experience for customers.Drive sales by engaging customers, identifying needs, and recommending products to meet targets.Promote and manage incoming donations to maintain an exceptional product range.Lead a team of Assistant Managers and Volunteers while maintaining shop rosters to ensure effective operations.Recruit, train and retain shop employees with the support of the Retail Regional Manager.Foster a positive team culture by providing training and development opportunities to enhance customer service and skills.Provide superior customer service and lead by example, maintaining professionalism and ensuring all employees and volunteers reflect the New Zealand Red Cross values.Provide monthly reports on shop performance, sales trends, donations, and volunteer activities to the Retail Regional Manager.To be successful you will have:Demonstrated knowledge of retail operations, stock management, sales drivers, administration, banking and cash handling.A minimum of 2 years' experience in a management role, preferably in retail or a customer service-oriented role.Strong organizational and leadership skills.Enthusiasm for sustainable fashion and community impact coupled with demonstrated knowledge of clothing brands.Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult situations and de-escalate conflicts effectively.Knowledge of ensuring all goods are priced within the Price Guidelines.Flexibility to work varying shifts, including at least one weekend day as required.About the New Zealand Red CrossNew Zealand Red Cross is a National Society member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the world's largest humanitarian organisation.
