This dual-focused role is central to fostering student agency, deep learning, and real-world connections through two core programmes: Project-Based Learning (PBL) and the Life Readiness Programme (LRP).Key responsibilities:Lead and implement a vibrant PBL programme that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.Collaborate with Y9 and 10 teachers to integrate essential life readiness skills, such as career education, emotional resilience, financial literacy, and social skills, ensuring students are equipped with the tools to navigate future challenges.Drive culturally responsive teaching practices, ensuring alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting the success of akonga Maori.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that prioritises both academic success and emotional wellbeing.Passion for student-centered learning and real-world educational experiences.Expertise in PBL and life readiness education.Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and external stakeholders.A commitment to equity, inclusion, and honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Why Tamatea High School?This is an exciting opportunity to join a school committed to living out our Te Tirohanga Whanui (School Vision), E tipu, e rea.
